Providing Mentoring and College Scholarships to Deserving Kern County Students
This event provides scholarships and mentoring programs to individuals in college and post-college through Bakersfield Club Zion. Today, few students are able to simply foot the bill for a college education. The average cost of a private, four-year college is well over $20,000 per academic year. The scholarship fund provides educational funds to financially needy students to help defray the cost of a college education.
Since 2000, over $250,000 in college scholarships has been distributed. Colleges include: Bakersfield College, CSUB, Azusa Pacific, Biola, Vanguard University, Fresno Pacific, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and more.
